WELCOME TO THE NORTHCHURCH COMMUNITY WEBSITE.
There are 1,295 households within the Parish of Northchurch and it is a thriving and friendly community. It has one school, St Mary’s CE First School, which is set in beautiful grounds, two churches, St Mary’s and Northchurch Baptist Church that both run very successful youth groups for younger and older teens, a local convenience store, post office and other local shops. The recreation ground is always in use and is adjacent to the local cricket club. If you love walking, you will be spoilt for choice. There is the Grand Union Canal and beautiful Ashridge Forest right on the doorstep.
Northchurch offers a wide range of leisure and social activities for all age groups and abilities and groups welcome all newcomers. This site includes a list of various painting groups, bridge classes, yoga, ballroom and various sports and fitness activities such as football, cricket, table tennis, judo and support groups and much more so there is something for everyone and all held locally.
Please refer to the local organisations list for more information for contact information and details of when and where the groups are held. If your organisation/group is missing from this list, we are constantly updating it so please contact the Clerk at email@example.com or telephone 01442 876911.
Halls for hire include the Social Centre in Bell Lane, The St John Ambulance Hall, the Parish Rooms at St Mary’s Church in the High Street, the Northchurch Cricket Club and St Mary’s School hall and field.
Northchurch has two allotment sites situated in New Road. You can find more information on these, including current rates and a piece on the history of the allotments on the links above.
You can also directly report highways faults such as pot holes from this site. Click on this link.
The website is being developed on an ongoing basis and we welcome residents’ comments and input. We would like the website to be a ‘one stop shop’ that everybody can use so we need your help. If there is anything you feel should be included, please contact the Parish Clerk either by email to firstname.lastname@example.org or by telephone on 01442 876911. If you have any fundraising activities or anything you want to share with other residents, please let us know.
